We gathered on May 1 at the Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue for our annual CHILD At Heart event. Generous breakfast attendees and donors to our virtual campaigns raised $60,000. This money helps cover the costs of uncompensated care for students at CHILD’s therapeutic day school and clients in our Developmental Therapy Services clinic.
At this year’s breakfast, we heard from CHILD alumnus Quinn Slatter and his mother Vandana. They shared with us their experiences before they came to CHILD and how their lives changed when Quinn became a CHILD student. We were moved by their stories and so delighted to learn Quinn is completing high school and presently serving in the Washington National Guard.

We also watched “Three Boys, One Journey,” a short film documenting the experiences of other CHILD students: a current student, a recent alumnus who now attends public high school, and another alumnus who is a practicing attorney and currently serves on the CHILD Board of Trustees. So many stories of achievement!
CHILD also thanks event sponsor Kirtley Cole Associates LLC for its support in helping to make this event possible.
