We're Working On a New Playground Project!

We are asking our Community to join us in raising funds for not ONE but TWO new sensory-responsive playgrounds.  Sensory playground equipment appeals to multiple senses, such as touch, sight and hearing, and encourages both social engagement, and side-by-side play for children with differing abilities.

More than playing fields, playgrounds are incubators for cognitive and social emotional development. Science tells us that movement does in fact "turn on" the brain.  This scientific data support the benefits of planned physical activity. The sensory input induces a calming effect, allowing children to regulate their bodies, thoughts, and emotions. In order for children to learn, they need to be able to pay attention. In order to pay attention, we need to let them move!
